Electrical – Production Power
The McClellan Conference Center charges our licensee for production power usage. The definition of “production power usage” is the utilization of any power requirements over and above the existing 20 amp wall outlets available in the contracted space.
Production power encompasses any production electrical services including but not limited to lighting, audio visual or video services. It is incumbent upon the licensee to provide the General Contractor/Service Provider and MCC with their production power needs. All production power usage requests must be received at least (2) weeks prior to the move-in date outlined in the contract. The MCC will charge the licensee direct for any production power usage over and above the existing 20 amp wall outlets available in their contracted space.
Electrical – Trade Show Power
All General Contractors are required to provide the MCC Event Manager a copy of the preliminary floor plan and summary report of electrical orders. The MCC staff will audit the layout and note any changes. An invoice will be generated based on the audit and invoiced within 15 days of the contracted move out. Commission payments are due to MCC within forty-five days of the contracted move out. Additionally, a copy of the invoice is to be attached with each payment. In the event the electrical terms are included in a “package”, the MCC commission will be based on the “minimum rates” per outlet included in the package. Additional electrical orders over and above the package will be assessed at the rates outlined below. If Contractor/Decorator fails to submit its fee payment by the date it is due, an additional payment of 1.5% of the amount due will be charged each month, or portion thereof, that the payment is overdue.
Trade Show Electrical Rates: Electrical rates due to the MCC are 25% of Decorator’s billing to the client / exhibitor vs. minimums listed below, whichever is greater.
Used or exhibited must be UL approved. Electrical hook-ups are to conform to the current National Electrical Code. Electrical feeder and branch circuits are not to be supported in a manner which would cause damage to the facility. All installations must be approved before electrical power is provided and installed by a certified electrician.
All electrical cables must be secured and matted to conform to electrical safety standards and are subject to inspection at any time. Suppliers will install their own matting, which must be inspected by MCC prior to the event start time.
